What is Building Teams about?
Many people tend to assume groups and teams are the same. In reality, the two are very different. In this course on building teams, we look at the theory of teams and the role of teams in the workplace, the types and importance of teams, as well as the qualities of a good team.
The term "group dynamics" can be described as the processes that occurs when people interact in a group. Team dynamics can strongly influence how a team reacts, behaves or performs. Being able to observe and understand these processes will help make the team work more effectively.
This course gave me an opportunity to participate in activities that made me view how I respond to teamwork situations. It was a real eye-opener.
