What is Mathematical Analysis about?

The application of mathematical analysis to financial information is a process, which starts with data collection. The first section of this course deals with selecting the appropriate data collection method, collecting financial and demographic information and ultimately, recording this data. The course then looks at two popular methods of representing data and determining which of these methods would be most appropriate for a particular situation. It covers representing data in graphical format, types of graphs as well as reading and plotting graphs.

The course further covers calculating time value of money and future value when rates of interest change, as well as the clarification of compounding periods.

Petunia Makhudu

I enjoyed this course and learned a lot about the different types of graphs as well as different ways of  collecting data.

Kieran van der Merwe

Although Mathematics is not my strong point, the course was clear and well laid out.
